2018

Founded in 2010 by David Souders (a Wounded Warrior) and Judy Souders (his Wife & Caregiver). The Co-Founders have dedicated themselves to helping others going through like situations and have now turned David’s passion for fishing into a means of helping other Wounded Warriors realize they are still capable of enjoying life, along with an active lifestyle after life changing injuries. In mid - 2010, David started taking other Warriors fishing while still living on the Eastern Shore in Harrington, Delaware. For more information visit them online at http://www.anglers.org

In 2017, the third year of competition, CCA Florida STAR presented by Yamaha implemented the family friendly fishing competition throughout the coastal waters of Florida. The 157 tagged redfish released in the states coastal waters and the 14 additional divisions caught the attention of nearly 6,000 registered anglers and thousands of additional anglers on social media. STAR offered participants an opportunity to win their share of over $500,000 in prizes & scholarships and once again was the largest family friendly saltwater fishing competition in Florida.
